Country Lane Dollhouse Kit: Every Product & Tool I Used
People ask me all the time what I actually use to build these dollhouses, so here’s the master list for the Country Lane: every tool, adhesive, paint, and product I’ve used so far, all in one place. I’ll keep updating this as I move further into the build and beyond.

- Ryobi Sander, used for sanding after priming the walls, floors, and roof
- Sandpaper sheets, for the smaller trim pieces (a pinch method works well since the batten is so tiny)
- Masking Tape, for holding pieces in place while glue sets and for labeling parts
- A Sharpie, for labeling pieces
- Mini Cordless Rotary Tool, genuinely one of my top product recommendations for miniature work
- X-Acto Knives
- Miter Shears
- Paint Brushes
Adhesives & Sealants
- Aleene’s Tacky Glue, used for assembly throughout the entire build
- Minwax Polyacrylic (Matte), used to seal the cobblestone and paint on the chimney
- Dry Dex Spackle, used for the faux grout lines on the chimney
Paint & Stain
- Sherwin Williams Dumpling, used on the house body and gingerbread eave trim
- FolkArt Greenscape Matte, used on the shutters (the pop of color)
- FolkArt Ivory White, used on the window and door frames and the chimney cap
- FolkArt Coffee Bean, used on the chimney stacks
- Minwax Early American Stain, used on the roof shingles
- Kilz Primer
Stone & Detailing
- Red/Grey Fieldstone Cobblestone from miniatures.com, used on the chimney and foundation.
