Inside My Cozy Dollhouse Library (Complete Tour)
If my dollhouse is going to reflect me, it needs a library. Music and books are two of my favorite things, so it only made sense to build a room around them. I put it on the top floor, right in the middle of the space I’ve dedicated to health and wellness, because that’s genuinely how I use both. Music is one of my go-to tools for winding down, and a shelf full of books just feels like calm. This room is the most “me” corner of the whole house (so far), and I wanted to walk you through everything that went into it.

The Reading Nook
The centerpiece of the room is the reading nook. I built the bench using my reading nook bench SVG file, then added the A-frame bookshelf right beside it, printed from my A-frame bookshelf STL file. To fill the shelves, I used my 1:12 scale book cover templates, which made it easy to stock the shelves with tiny “titles” that actually feel personal.
The Loveseat
Every good reading room needs a second seat, so I sewed a low-profile loveseat using my loveseat sewing pattern. It tucks in next to the nook and gives the room a proper little seating area instead of just one bench in a corner.
The Vinyl Record Corner
Since music is such a big part of why this room exists, I added a small vinyl setup. The storage piece was printed from my 3-inch storage with door STL file, and I filled it with records printed from my vinyl record STL file, dressed up with my editable vinyl record cover template so I could customize the covers myself in Canva.
Woven Basket
Tucked next to the nook is a small woven basket I made from a bottle cap, twine, hot glue, and some thrifted fabric scraps, finished off with a braided trim for the bands and handles. You can read the full step-by-step on how I made this one here.
Plug-In Light
The room is finished off with a plug-in light for evening reading. Here’s the full post on how I wired and built this working table lamp.

Build alongside us in Lina’s Dollhouse Collective
If this build feels lonely, that is exactly what the Collective is for. Lina’s Dollhouse Collective is the Facebook group where we share ideas, put the free tools to work as part of our process, and cheer each other on through every glued finger and crooked shingle.
Inside the group you can ask the questions you do not want to post publicly, show off a build at any stage (the messy ones too), and pick up tricks the rest of us learned the hard way. We talk scale, paint, wiring, sourcing, kits, scratch builds, and yes, snack recommendations for long glue-drying breaks.
Bring your tools. Bring your scale ruler, your color palette, and your scale conversions. Bring your wins and your roadblocks. We will meet you there.
